10.10.14 -First Round of Special Guests Announcements!
WE are so happy to announce our first rounds of Special guests! Welcome Rachel Robinson and Wendy Powell, two amazing voice actresses that are ready take over the Black Hills! Also we have our trifeca of horror authors coming back and this time with a book they compiled together! Check everyone out in the Special Guests Section!
We have many great updates! We have applications for Artist Alley and Dealers Room now open. WE also have a new competition, The Design and Fashion Showcase!

07.06.2014 - Sad News
It is with a sad heart that we have to announce that we have lost one of our beloved staffers. Stephen Artnz, one of our security had passed away on Thursday, July 3rd. He had been a long time attendee and this was his first year as staff. He was a great friend that always had a smile that brightened up the room. We will all dearly miss him. If you would like to say your condolences to his family and friends, his family is hosting a memorial at their house on Tuesday, July 8th at 6:00pm. Their address is 601 Dakota Drive, Rapid City, SD, 57701.
06.16.2014 - Changes in the Air
Hello SoDak Con Attendees, Staff and Everyone Concerned With SoDak Con!
As we are moving toward a bigger and better SoDak Con, we felt that it would be important and in the best interest of the convention that we would do a restructure of our Administrative team. From now on there will be a Board of Directors that will be helping making sure that SoDak Con runs smoothly.
Shareece Tatum will continue to be the sole Executive Director, but will now have four trusted long-time staffers join her as Board of Directors. Our new Board of Directors are Skip Dean; Director of Public Safety, Devin Dodson; Director of Programming, Grace Dobbs; Director of Events and Rich Rasmussen; Director of Merchandising. We also have an advisory board that is still being formed, but at the moment we have Brooke “Pixie” Milliken and Martha Krebsbach on that board.
Each one was chosen for their loyalty, hard-work and expertise that will benefit the convention as a whole. They will help oversee areas and make decisions that will make everything run even smoother. We will still have our dedicated department heads that have and continue to work hard to bring you the amazing convention that it is and our wonderful staffers that help bring things together.
This change in management show’s our continued growth in providing you with the best opportunities of entertainment and self-expression that South Dakota can provide.
